The Perfect Location for Your Retail Store

foottraffic_retail_tampabay

Choosing the perfect location for your retail store is an important step in making your entrepreneurial dreams come true.

What good is hard work, great staff, and amazing service without customers? Depending on industry, you’ll want to focus on high foot traffic or consistent drive by traffic for your retail business. Today we’ll touch on high foot traffic areas in Tampa Bay. Ideally, you’ll want to make your mark next to non-competitive retail businesses that already have client or customer traffic. Their store overflow is just what you need to drive walk-in traffic, bringing you new business immediately.

I’m here to share my recommendation for the best foot traffic areas in Tampa for your retail store!

Hyde Park

Tampa’s first western suburb stretching from the mouth of the Hillsborough River down the east side of the Interbay Peninsula, the area is filled with Bungalow homes, mansions, and condominiums. Hyde Park in South Tampa is filled with bars, restaurants, shopping, and recreation. A feature is Hyde Park Village, an upscale shopping and dining district, located in the heart of the neighborhood.

Westchase

Located halfway between Tampa and Clearwater, Westchase is one of the wealthiest areas of Hillsborough County. The largely residential area is recognized for The Westchase Community Association, organized into 28 neighborhoods— It was even ranked as the 26th coolest suburb worth a visit by Travel + Leisure! It is vibrant residential community with people walking to shops, bars, restaurants and village greens.

Ybor City

Founded in 1886, Ybor City Historic District is the heart of Tampa’s history and is filled with multi-cultural restaurants, bars and nightclubs, specialty shops, art, music, and more. With several structures listed in the National Register of Historic Places and classic brick streets, Ybor brings a rich, cultural feel. The area hosts multiple special events to celebrate Tampa’s history, and is a must-see for tourists visiting the Bay area.
